“It was really fun.”
Sometimes the Kitsap Mini Maker Faire defies explanation, but I think Poulsbo Mayor Becky Erickson described the Faire perfectly. Part of the KitsapMaker team recently met with Poulsbo Mayor Becky Erickson to discuss last year’s event and plan for this year’s Faire.
Sure, the Faire builds community, supports local small businesses, and introduces a diverse group of makers to each other, but most of all the Faire is a lot of fun. The Mayor added “I thought the diversity was amazing.” Diversity is another word that describes the Faire. You simply have to be there to understand just how diverse the Faire really is.
The Mayor also had some great advice on some things to improve and change at this year’s Faire, which was much appreciated. We hope to see you at the 2012 Kitsap Mini Maker Faire. Who knows, you might see the Mayor watching a maker pounding metal, welding, soldering, folding paper, or sewing.
