The 2012 Kitsap Mini Maker Faire is shaping out to be a great place for kids. One of our main focuses as we prepare for Sunday, June 10th is signing up hands-on activities for kids of all ages, shapes and sizes. Every maker is asked to be able to demonstrate and share how they “make” what they make for the attendees that come to see their booth. Last year, in addition to very cool demonstrations in woodworking, laser cutting, quilting, 3-D printing, metal work, craft stick bending, robotics, t-shirt printing, wool spinning – to name just a few of the 50+ displays, we also had numerous makers who offered hands-on activities where you could actually join in on the fun and do it yourself, with an expert beside you.

Our goal this year is to increase the number of makers demonstrating and offering hands-on activities. Many of the vendors above are planning to attend again this year, and if you know of any makers who are willing to join us and expand the Kitsap Maker community, please contact Caleb. Booths are FREE to those demonstrating and sharing how-to knowledge.
